Guild of Craftsmen |
The Bucks
The purpose of the Bucks County Guild of Craftsmen is to stimulate interest in crafts and appreciation of the work of craftsmen. The Guild upholds and maintains standards of excellence in design and workmanship, assists members in marketing high quality crafts and provides a forum for exchange of ideas and information through its meetings and programs.
Membership is
open to anyone interested in crafts whether or not you are an active
craftsperson. According
to state
bylaws, everyone who joins the Bucks chapter must also become members
of the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen. Application for
membership in the PGC and The Bucks County Guild of Craftsmen can be
found by clicking here.
The Bucks Guild is an all volunteer organization and its activities would be impossible without those members who become involved and contribute their skills. New members are encouraged to become active. Our newsletter, The Buckskin, is printed and mailed to all members every month except July. Through the Standards process an opportunity is given for members to jury their craft, thus recognizing outstanding craftsmanship, design and creativity.
Meetings are held at 7::30 p.m. on the 2nd Wednesday of each month, September through May, in the meeting room, District Office, Boy Scouts of America, 1 Scout Way, Doylestown, P A, (across the street from the Mercer Museum). The June meeting is customarily a family picnic and no meetings are held during July and August. Any interested person is welcome to attend a meeting.
