Meetings

We welcome anyone interested in fine crafts, whether an artist, collector or appreciator to attend our meetings held the second Wednesday of the month (We don't meet in July or August). Meetings are held at 7:00 pm at the Boy Scout Headquarters Building in Doylestown:  1 Scout Way, Doylestown, PA. Guests interested in joining are welcome at our regular meetings.

December 10th Meeting

6:30 Group Meeting (note: earlier start time than normal)

Activity: Holiday Party! Bring something to share at our pot-luck table. We'll supply the drinks. Optional: bring a small hand-crafted item from your studio, gift wrapped and unmarked for our gift exchange.

January 14th Meeting

7:00 Group Meeting

Activity: Tools of the Trade! A continuation on our 2025 Summer Instagram Series with the same name. Bring a tool that you use in your making process that might be interesting to share with the group. It could be a well-loved standard tool to your trade, or maybe it's something unusual that isn't typically associated with your craft but is indispensable to you. This is a great way of getting a little insight into what goes on in our individual studios.

*We will also be announcing our 2026 Members Challenge!*

For this challenge, each member will choose an existing artwork as their inspiration. It may be any form of artwork — painting, sculpture, poetry, architecture, illustration, dance, music, film, textiles, ceramics… anything that was created as an artist’s expression.

Using that piece as your inspiration, create a new work within your own craft discipline that responds to, interprets, or is influenced by the original artwork in some way. It can be direct, subtle, symbolic, emotional, color-based, conceptual, narrative, or structural — however you personally see and translate it. Work should be ready to be revealed at our May meeting.

February 11th Meeting

7:00 Group Meeting

Activity: We will welcome Harry Boardman from Exhibit B Gallery. Exhibit B is a craft-centric gallery in Souderton, PA. Harry will speak with us about how artists apply to have work represented through a gallery. What do they look for? How does it work? i.e.- Commission, pricing, duration of consignment, responsibilities, and exclusivity. Come with questions!

March 11th Meeting

7:00 Group Meeting

Activity: Join us for a Maker's Talk with artist Alison Bessesdotter. Born a Bucks County artist, Alison grew up along the banks of the Delaware River in rural Pennsylvania. Her works have been described in the press as “improvisational: worlds of magic, euphoria and enchantment.” Alison works in many different media but continues to be inspired by her observations in nature.
