September 9th Meeting

7:00 Group Meeting

Activity: Guest Artist Talk with Lisa Belsky

Join us for an evening with Lisa who will share images and stories about how her unique work came to be. Lisa is an award winning multi-media artist, working in porcelain, fiber, watercolor and ink. Her work explores themes of connection, preservation of memory, traditions, and the passage of time. She incorporates knitting and crocheting techniques into her work. The processes of knitting and crocheting has been an important part of her life since childhood and was passed down through generations of women in her family.

October 14th Meeting

7:00 Group Meeting

Activity: Join us for a panel-led discussion on photographing your work; how to curate photos for a show application, and when to hire a product photographer for professional shots.

Our panelists:

  • Sheila Fernekes — has experience as a show juror and does her own jewelry photography

  • Monique Perry — works with a professional photographer who specializes in jewelry

  • Peter Jacobson — creates large-scale wood bowls and does his own photography

November 11th Meeting

7:00 Group Meeting

Activity: A group discussion about Booth Set-up during shows, both indoor and outdoor. Send us your booth images ahead of time and we'll include them in a slide show. We'll look at the images and will pause on each for each artist to share their 3 best tips and take time to answer questions about their set-up. This is a great discussion for our newer artists to attend and get ideas for setting up their work for sale for the first time.

December 9th Meeting

6:30 (Note time change) Holiday Party

Bring a food dish to share and come for this time of Fellowship. We will have an optional gift exchange. If you'd like to participate, bring a small work you've created, wrapped without a tag or anything to show who it's from.
