I've been making mosaics sporadically, as time would allow, for about 7 years and am now at a point in my life where more time is now available. This is wonderful. I prefer using natural stone (marble, granite, travertine, etc.) although I will incorporate ceramics and porcelains. Whenever possible, I try to use salvaged materials for my pieces. Everything deserves a second life. I work out of an old blacksmith shop on my property that dates back to the early 1900's. It is a great space which is slowly being renovated to my liking. Inspiration comes in many different forms, and I feel very fortunate to have found this medium with which I love to work.
