I came to bookbinding while in college. I like the creative side--feeling the textures of the papers and fabric--and the structural side--the sewing, cutting and trimming. Bookbinding pleases both sides of my brain equally. Mostly I make lined journals
and blank sketch books, but I also create artist books. Most of my books are created with acid-free and archival materials.

ribbon book		ribbon book This lined ribbon book is handmade by me. I cut the paper, covers and spine by hand, sew the signatures together and measure and glue the cover materials down. For this book, I used acid-free binder’s board, archival PVA glue, linen thread, and a cotton paisley fabric that I turned into book cloth. The lined paper inside each book is 50 lb. acid-free white paper. Use it for journaling or as a guest book. The book lies flat when open. There are 96 pages (back and front) in this ribbon book. Approximately 8.75” x 6.5”

wedding guest book: sample		wedding guest book: sample I created this custom guest book for a wedding couple. It is approximately 9 inches by 7 inches and included 128 acid-free pages for guests to write their notes. I worked with the maid of honor in choosing the cover paper, size and structure. This book lies flat when open, and a pen is easily tied to the binding for guests to use. Price depends on materials used, size, structure and number of guests.

photo books		photo books A variety of photo books in different cover materials (fabric or paper) is available (image is a sample). The size of this book is 4.25 inches by 5.75 inches when closed. Holds photos in front and on back. I use printmaking paper (Rives BFK 250gsm) so this book can also be a sketchbook.
