Born and raised in western Pennsylvania, I have lived and worked in Bucks County, PA since 1981. I have been sewing since when I was a teenager and quilting since the mid-1990’s. I am especially drawn to and inspired by old traditional quilts, as well
as the country quilts designed by some of today’s most successful quiltmakers. In 2003, after a 22-year career as a software engineer, I left the corporate world to further pursue my passion for quiltmaking. Now, as owner of Redbud Ridge Quilts, I design,
sew and frame small versions of my favorite quilt blocks in my home-based studio. Using both traditional and contemporary quilt blocks, I create small one-of-a-kind patchwork quilts in my own unique “Celebration” style. Whether featuring a single quilt block,
multiple same blocks, or a combination of different blocks, my quilts are designed to celebrate not only the simplicity and beauty of traditional quilts, but also the heartfelt comforts and pleasures of life.
Angel's Gift
This design features a favorite folkart icon, an Angel in Flight. With this design, I wanted to capture the spirit of giving. I thought the best way to do that was to depict her reaching out to offer a special gift. This hand-quilted piece measures 4.75”
x 7.5” and is framed in an 8” x 10” all wood frame with a dark cherry finish. The outside dimension of the framed piece is 10.5” x 12.5”.The quilt is lovingly hand quilted with a star button used to depict the Angel’s gift. The quilt top is pieced by machine using a simple straight stitch. The finished quilt is securely tacked with thread to acid-free matboard. Using spacers to lift the
glass away from the quilt, it is securely mounted in the frame and professionally finished on the back. All my quilts are unique and one-of-a-kind with different fabric, button and/or color combinations. Fabrics, buttons and colors are fully customizable.
This design is available facing either right or left.Price: $ 89
