Christel Hoffmann designs and creates limited production and one of a kind, original art jewelry. It is made of sterling, fine silver, genuine and synthetic stones, semi precious beads, found objects, and her hand made lamp-worked glass beads. “I love
color. My inspiration comes mostly from nature; fish, shells, fossils, flowers, leaves, etc. Occasionally, I have a specific idea in mind, draw the design, and follow it closely. Mostly I enjoy experimentation and serendipity. I employ many processes in the
manufacture of my jewelry including; Lost wax steam casting, fabrication by soldering, cuttlefish bone casting, hollow forming in Precious Metal Clay, roller-printing and more. Since graduating college in 1988, I have taken workshops in glass blowing, marble
making, glass bead making, Precious Metal Clay and other jewelry making techniques.” Christel has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Metals/Jewelry, with minors in Art History and Geology from Boston University.
